2021-22 High School Clubs:

 

  • Art & Anime Club

    Wednesdays from 3:30 – 4:00 pm (Room 160)
    To learn more about Art, Artists and Japanese Culture and make friends with similar interests. To include learning new drawing techniques, having like discussions, and discovering new art!

 

  • BLPA Athletic Training Club

    1-3 times/week during after school practices (Athletic Training Room)
    The BLPA Athletic Training Club will allow students to gain an understanding of sports medicine, various associated disciplines, and the role they play in the physically active community. Students will gain baseline knowledge in injury prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, emergency injury management, and administrative functions.

 

  • Christian Bible Study

    Thursdays from 3:15 – 3:45 pm (Room 152)
    The Christian Bible Study is a club to give students the opportunity to learn, discuss, relate and have a nonjudgmental space. Having a space to grow in faith and spread the love of Jesus is a passionate mission for our school community. We want to plant the seed. Luke 8:11

 

  • Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)

    At least once per month for membership; once per month for officers (Room 153)
    To bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.

 

  • National Honor Society (NHS)

    Second Wednesday of each month at 7 a.m. (Room 151)
    The Banning Lewis Preparatory Academy chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) recognizes students who demonstrate exemplary scholarship, service, leadership, and character. NHS also provides its members with the opportunity to further develop in those areas by being actively involved in the school and community. Selection and induction of new members is held second semester each year for the upcoming school year.   • Outdoor Club

    Tuesday 3:15 – 3:45 pm (Room 167)
    To introduce students to a variety of outdoor activities and to develop a love of nature.

 

  • Spectrum

    Every other Wednesday, 3:30 – 4:30 pm (Room 149)
    Spectrum is an after-school club for high school students that provides a safe and positive environment for all high school students at BLPA regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, religion, political beliefs, culture, etc.

 

  • Stallion Super Fan Club

    First Wednesday of each month, 3:15 pm – 3:45 pm (Weight Room)
    Our Mission is to bring juice and energy to BLPA. We will send school spirit through the roof.

 

  • Strings Group

    Monday and Wednesday, 7:00 – 7:40 am (Room 167)
    To provide a place for students to learn and play songs with a group.

 

  • Student 2 Student

    Thursdays from 3:30-4 pm (Room 234)
    S2S (Stallions2Stallions) is a school student program that works to welcome new students, create positive environments, support academic excellence, and ease new students’ transitions. We participate in and host various activities such as new student tours, orientation, new student welcoming parties/activities, school fundraisers, and more!

 

  • Student Government

    Every Tuesday, 3:20 – 4:20 pm (Counseling Office)
    To represent the student body of Banning Lewis Academy to the administration, faculty, staff, and community. To ensure that all students feel welcomed and a part of the Stallion Family and to serve as a voice for the student body.

 

  • Theater & Makeup Club

    Tuesdays from 3:30 – 4:30 pm (Room 218)
    To help students pursue a passion in theater and gain an understanding of special effect makeup.

 

  • World Citizenship Club

    1-2 Thursday’s a month from 3:20-4:30 (Room 119)
    This club is created to help prepare our youth for the globally interconnected world of the 21st Century. Our meetings will be focusing on world current affairs, languages, team building, and cultural awareness.
