Student2Student(Middle School)

Student 2 Student (S2S) was established in 2004 as a national program and became a functional group at BLPA around 2019. S2S is a peer-to-peer, student-led program that brings military-dependent students and civilian students together to welcome new students, create a positive environment for all, support educational opportunities, build connections through service, and ease transitions. At BLPA, our club is open for both middle and high schoolers where we give tours to new students and help them feel comfortable and safe entering into their new environments.

The S2S Core Values implemented into our club are:

Some of our goals for each school year are:

• Welcome every new student who enrolls at BLPA on that student’s first day.
• Ensure new students eat lunch with someone and help them feel acclimated and comfortable.
• Check back with new students after a few days and weeks to see how they are adjusting.
• Provide a meaningful way to say goodbye once we learn a student is moving.
• We hope to continue growing our club in future years and foster a safe, inclusive environment.
