Technology

Our technology class equips students with essential digital skills for the modern world. From learning proper typing techniques and mouse usage to understanding the components of a computer, students gain a strong foundation in technology. They explore internet navigation, safe social media practices, and effective online research strategies. Additionally, students develop proficiency in Office applications, photo and video editing, and learn proper device care and professional correspondence.

Art

In Art class, the goal is to broaden artists’ studio art skills using a variety of mediums (acrylic paint, watercolor, oil pastels, tempera sticks, clay, charcoal, and mural work).  Most importantly, art class hopes to reach students in a different way than their homeroom subjects.  By aligning art curriculum with ELA, math, science, and social studies, artists are given new opportunities to express their knowledge, expand their thinking, and gain confidence in themselves and their learning.

PE

Physical Education is a vital part of student development, and is part of the curriculum, at all grade levels. Our PE Teachers provide a Fun and Inclusive environment for all students to learn and grow. Our program focuses on students learning skills for both physical and emotional wellness. We provide balanced variety of activities and sports, to help foster healthy habits for lifelong learning, for all learning types. We use Capturing Kids Hearts practices, and incorporate weekly values, such as Teamwork, Responsibility, Leadership.

Music

The BLRA Music Program is designed to introduce young students to the joy of music through engaging and interactive lessons. Focusing on building foundational skills, students explore rhythm, melody, and harmony while developing an appreciation for different musical styles. Through singing, movement, and hands-on activities with instruments, children learn to express themselves creatively and build teamwork and listening skills. The program encourages self-confidence, fosters a lifelong love for music, and supports cognitive development, all while providing a fun and dynamic learning environment.
